Hey Everyone! We are in the new building and making improvements in the new space. The vision for our commercial space has been years in the making so now that the day is here putting it into real time is surreal.  First, thanking all of you for following, continuing to be loyal customers and supporting Upscaled Designs is so important for us. Second, finding the right building/space which occurred after looking at several buildings over the last 2 years. And last but not least moving in and tailoring the space to create Upscaled Designs.

It’s important to us to allow our clients/customers to follow along in our journey over the last few years and let you all be a part of this. Looking for the space was no easy matter. About two years ago we started looking online at different options. And soon we realized commercial spaces are much different than looking for residential spaces.  Luckily, we had a fantastic realtor (Andrew Wieberdink with The Gold Group) to help us along the way.

Our vision when looking for properties was the following:

  • Large enough property to meet our current needs and to allow growth for future needs
  • Great location for our customers primarily to be just north of the Twin Cities
  • Good curb appeal
  • Office space that is separate from manufacturing
  • Great Showroom

What most of you don’t know is Upscaled Designs came close to purchasing a property that was close to the current business location.  The building that was almost purchased was actually an old oil change business and would have required a lot of work-which by the way we are not afraid of and enjoy getting our hands dirty. This was a blessing in disguise that it didn’t work out as the building that we did end up purchasing is 10 x better for many reasons than that one would have been. Lesson learned-everything we go through in life teaches us something.  If your inner being is telling you something isn’t right—listen to that because you’re probably right.  Through this experience a lot was learned and truly once the real building came along everything went smoothly from there.

We stumbled upon this building and knew from the minute we saw it, that it would be the new home of Upscaled Designs, LLC. Good things come to those who wait and with much patience closing was on May 7th, 2018 however the current tenants continued renting until July 28th. Let me tell you that was hard to wait. It’s finally here and we have been busy since Saturday starting the remodel.  This new space is almost 3,000 sq ft, has a separate warehouse space with a large garage door entrance in back, plus a separate office space. It’s in a great location right off of the highway just north of the Twin Cities, and has great curb appeal.

Our vision is modern and industrial and we hope over the next 4 weeks you all get to see that vision come to life. Upscaled Designs is in business as usual during this phase so please don’t hesitate to send us your printing needs. Stay tuned for pics of the first week accomplishments at the new space.
